To think of reading as an initiatory experience in the admission course to the university favors a series of reflections that point to neglected dimensions of this problem, complementary aspects of strictly disciplinary learning in a programme of Humanities and especially in the School of Letters, where we work with texts.
Our usual concerns as teachers have to do with academic literacy, the acquisition of some fundamental tools and ways of working for future actions.
There are, however, other aspects that should be considered, and that are linked to a personal dimension of reading and writing as experience. There are, for example, our representations as entrants about the university, what we hope to find, what idea we have of what we are going to do, why we choose this program of study.
It seems appropriate to examine the impact that these aspects can have as readings of reality from the perspective of the university entrants, without forgetting the preconceptions and representations we also have as teachers.

Pensar la lectura como una experiencia de iniciación en el ingreso a la universidad propicia una serie de reflexiones que apuntan a dimensiones poco atendidas de esta problemática, aspectos complementarios del aprendizaje estrictamente disciplinar en una carrera de Humanidades y especialmente en Letras, donde se trabaja con textos. Nuestras preocupaciones habituales en los equipos de cátedra tienen que ver con la alfabetización académica, la adquisición de algunas herramientas y modos de trabajo fundamentales para obrar en lo sucesivo. Hay, sin embargo, otros aspectos que conviene considerar, y que se vinculan con una dimensión personal de la lectura y la escritura como experiencia. Ahí están, por ejemplo, nuestras representaciones como ingresantes acerca de la carrera y la universidad, qué esperamos encontrar, qué idea tenemos de lo que vamos a hacer, por qué elegimos esta carrera. Nos parece oportuno examinar la incidencia que pueden tener esos aspectos como lecturas de la realidad desde la perspectiva de lxs ingresantes, sin olvidar los preconceptos y representaciones que también tenemos nosotrxs como docentes. Pensar na leitura como experiência de iniciação ao ingresso na universidade estimula uma série de reflexões que apontam para dimensões pouco atendidas dessa problemática, aspectos complementares da aprendizagem estritamente disciplinar no curso de Humanidades e principalmente em Letras, onde se trabalha com textos. As nossas preocupações habituais nas equipes de ensino têm a ver com o letramento acadêmico, a aquisição de algumas ferramentas e formas fundamentais de trabalhar para agir no futuro. Existem, no entanto, outros aspectos que devem ser considerados, e que estão ligados a uma dimensão pessoal da leitura e da escrita como experiência. Existem, por exemplo, as nossas representações como ingresantes sobre o curso e a universidade, o que esperamos encontrar, qual a ideia que temos do que vamos fazer, por que escolhemos este curso. Parece oportuno examinar o impacto que esses aspectos podem ter como leituras da realidade na perspectiva dos novos ingressantes, sem esquecer os preconceitos e representações que também temos como professores.
