At times I feel that I walk on a kind of transparent tablecloth. Under the tablecloth swim fish of various kinds, some have many tiny eyes and fingers. Some others, speak like women and have frog’s legs, but are of the color where they are stepping. If they are on a field of mosses, they turn a military green color. When the sun reflects its long legs resting on the refined sand, they turn a color tornasol and may leave some navigator half-blind. If by those coincidences the wind carried lavender flowers, that’s good luck for them, that’s why they dance flamenco to attract the augury. These fish are my favorite because they smoke from a long pipe and leave behind a thick moustache that the wind is responsible for unmaking. The frayed mustache doesn’t take long to return to its place. With a gentle nosegrab, each one centers each hair back in place. They don’t lose their posture, they walk with rhythm, each joint relaxes in unison and tighten at a jump. Their movements cause small electric shocks, allowing them to move with great freshness. Every now and then the group of little fishes appears, which, by their very presence, make the place become a laughingstock. Laughter, many laughter from the crowd of little fish by a group that don’t even care to be there.
