Therefore, we believe that the historical approach of working class must include the analysis of syndical demands and organization ways, addressing, also, the study of its material life and emotional and political relationships, as being -among others - a committee of local residents. In this work we will address the situation of the Comisión Fomento of the neighborhood called Aires Puros (Montevideo, Uruguay). We will also attend the objectives that this resident’s association proposed itself and try to reflect on how that institution influenced local residents daily lives. Las condiciones laborales y las formas de organización de los trabajadores no están desligadas de su cotidianidad (desarrollada, entre otros lugares, en el barrio de residencia), sino que constituyen una unidad en la experiencia. Por ello consideramos que el abordaje histórico de la clase obrera debe comprender el análisis de las reivindicaciones sindicales, de sus formas de organización, pero también atender el estudio de la vida material y las relaciones (afectivas y políticas) de los asalariados en diversos espacios, como ser, entre otros, una comisión vecinal. En nuestro trabajo abordaremos la situación de la Comisión Fomento del barrio montevideano de Aires Puros, atenderemos a los objetivos que esta asociación vecinal se propuso e intentaremos reflejar de qué forma la institución barrial repercutió en la vida cotidiana de los vecinos de la localidad.
