For this reason, Neuquen constitutes an interesting place from where observe residential patterns deployed in cities that had his hour of growth with the diffusion of desarrollista's ideas. It is not a question of examining this problematic of isolated form, without of contemplating the relations that it supported with other factors of great explanatory value. In the dialog between place of birth, occupation and the urban ecology we find a way for explore the relations between micro and macro dimensions from a new place. Far from the tempting impulse ofgeneralizing from the study of a network, we will try to individualize the conditions that used as substratum for the action the individuals who were integrating them. With this general aim we will describe, first, the Neuquen urban landscape in order to indicate the continuities that it was dragging from the "territoriana" stage and the existing transformations in the sixties. In the second part, we present a sketch of the accessions of the migrants (Argentinians and Chileans) an effort for understanding the Neuquen urban ecology for this period. En los años sesenta, Germani utilizó los patrones residenciales como llave para explicar la rápida asimilación de los inmigrantes a la sociedad argentina. Pese a servir de catalizador a una frondosa producción, esta inquietud pocas veces avanzó más allá de la región pampeana y del límite impuesto por la clausura del ciclo inmigratorio masivo. Por esta razón, Neuquén constituye un interesante lugar desde donde observar los patrones habitacionales desplegados en ciudades que tuvieron su hora de crecimiento con la difusión del recetario desarrollista. No se trata de examinar esta problemática de forma aislada, sin contemplar las relaciones que mantuvo con otros factores de gran valor explicativo. En el diálogo entre lugar de nacimiento, ocupación y ecología urbana neuquina encontramos un medio para explorar las relaciones entre lo macro y lo micro desde un novedoso lugar. Apartados del tentador impulso de generalizar a partir del estudio de una red, intentaremos individualizar las condiciones que sirvieron de sustrato para la acción de los individuos que las integraban. Con este objetivo general describiremos, en primer lugar, el paisaje urbano neuquino a fin de señalar las continuidades que arrastraba desde la etapa territoriana y las transformaciones existentes en los sesenta. En una segunda parte, se presenta un esbozo de los asentamientos de los migrantes en un esfuerzo por comprender la ecología urbana neuquina para ese periodo.
