We approach the proposal from Environmental Education and Heritage Education, through a symbolic-identityperspective of environmental heritage as a reference approach to science teaching. We present “Quirquincho y Carancho”, a children series of cartoon short films, its web pagewith complementary information and activities, and the first chapter of the series set in high altitude pastures and woodlands, corresponding to the Chaco Serrano Woodland inthe Chaco Phytogeographical Province. These resources were validated in workshops in rural multi-grade schools of mountain.
