This orientation contributes to the Scientific and Technologic Education purpose of the citizenship. It pretends a critic and reflective education. So, the student can be able to take responsible decisions based in the knowledge. Thus, a link between the knowledge working in the class and the diary life is created, motivating the interesting of the student of the school learning. The result of a previous research with Biology teachers in Córdoba show that a majority agree with a STS objectives in their declarations although the mort teachers haven´t training about the STS in their education. Presento una revisión teórica acerca de la educación Ciencia, Tecnología, y Sociedad (CTS) para invitar a su consideración en el desarrollo de clases de Biología. Esta orientación contribuye al propósito de la Alfabetización Científica – Tecnológica de la ciudadanía. Pretende una educación crítica y reflexiva, para que el alumno sea capaz de tomar decisiones responsables, sobe la base del conocimiento. De esta forma, se establece un vínculo entre los saberes trabajados en el aula y la realizad en la que se desenvuelve el alumnado, motivando su interés por los diferentes contenidos desarrollados en la escuela. Los resultados de una investigación precedente, con docentes de Biología en la ciudad de Córdoba, revelan que la mayor parte coincide en sus declaraciones con las premisas de la educación CTS a pesar que la mayoría no recibió formación sobre esta propuesta en el transcurso del profesorado.
