| Sumario: | The educational training in genetics and bioethics holds significant importance due to its implications in daily life and advances in healthcare, which justifies its inclusion in educational curricula. Similarly, in Secondary Education, fostering argumentative skills is crucial, as students will encounter debates where substantiating their opinions with evidence is necessary. To this end, an educational proposal has been designed, implemented, and evaluated, aimed at equipping a group of post-obligatory secondary students (16-17 years old) to enhance their argumentation abilities concerning a bioethical dilemma related to basic genetics, specifically Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis. The favourable outcomes observed in argumentative essay composition provide support for further in-depth exploration of this theme. |
