It aims at thinking about the institutional transformation or the restructuring of the hospital dynamics resulted from as a the health and social care emergency and from that point, to account for the reconfiguration process done by the Social Work to participate in the pandemic and its emerging factors, understanding it, not only as a biological expression but also as a social, political, economic, cultural and symbolic one. It specially intends to share the particular configurations and reconfigurations of the professional performance in this framework and analyzes some of the main issues expanded during the pandemic in daily professional work: the useless omnipotence of the “health care heroes” and the impotence over death, the losses and collectivemourning. Finally, the question to recover certain potentialities as pillars to build this post pandemic stage moving towards possible goals, consolidating the collectivism of resources and better professional strategies is present in this work. El presente trabajo busca compartir una mirada sobre el proceso de irrupción del covid-19 en el servicio social de un hospital público de la provincia de Córdoba, una institución que atravesó un camino de escisiones, estallidos, transformaciones y reconstrucciones. Apunta a reflexionar acerca de la transformación institucional o reconversión de la dinámica hospitalaria producida a consecuencia de la emergencia sociosanitaria, y a partir allí, dar cuenta del proceso de reconfiguración que se elabora desde el Trabajo Social para intervenir en la pandemia y sus emergentes, entendida esta como expresión no solo biológica, sino social, política, económica, cultural y simbólica. En especial, pretende poner en común las singulares configuraciones y reconfiguraciones del ejercicio profesional en este marco y analizar algunos de los pliegues que la pandemia amplificó en el cotidiano profesional: la omnipotencia invalidante de los “héroes sanitarios” y la impotencia en la intervención sobre la muerte, las pérdidas y los duelos colectivos. Por último, se plantea la recuperación de algunas potencialidades a modo de pilares para construir esta etapa de pospandemia, avanzando hacia los posibles, y consolidando la colectivización de recursos y las estrategias profesionales superadoras.
