For this, a survey was applied to 359 of the five regions of the country. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, with hypothesis tests used to rank the interests and to compare the preferences of the different strata. Technological products, STS approach and conceptual activities are among the highlights of teachers' preference. Biographies and a traditional and mathematical approach are among the less valued elements. Among the subgroups, one highlight is that the traditional approach finds greater interest among teachers without a license degree, teacher that use handouts instead of textbooks and teachers who adopt materials from authors who are not researchers in the area of Teaching or Education. O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar os temas e abordagens de interesse no livro de Física de acordo com os professores brasi-leiros de Ensino Médio. Para isso, um questionário do tipo survey foi aplicado a 359 docentes das cinco regiões do país. Os dados foram analisados por meio da estatística descritiva e inferencial, com testes de hipóteses para ranquear os interesses e compa-rar as preferências dos diferentes estratos. O funcionamento de produtos tecnológicos, a abordagem CTS e as atividades mais conceituais estão entre os destaques de preferência dos docentes, enquanto biografias e uma abordagem tradicional e matema-tizada estão entre os quesitos menos valorizados. Entre os subgrupos, destaca-se que a abordagem tradicional encontra maior interesse entre os professores sem licenciatura, que usam apostilas e que adotam materiais de autores que não são pesquisado-res da área de Ensino ou Educação.
