Gamification is a process where different mechanics and techniques of the identity or essence of game design come into play, which aims to motivate participants to achieve specific purposes. There are aspects that do not make a Gamification proposal, in order to design an educational and training experience. Gamification does not precisely imply the creation of a game, it is not a serious game, it is not game theory and it is not fundamentally designing a reward system or loyalty programs.Game in education challenges the educator to problematize teaching strategies, seeking to achieve the active participation of others. Understanding that playfulness does not emphasize learning content, but rather promoting an environment that encourages each student to build their own knowledge loaded with personal meanings.Motivation, in relation to Gamification proposals, should never be minimized simply to material rewards for behaviors, taking into account that this leads to continuous frustration for not achieving them. Said motivation can be identified from two types: intrinsic, which arises from factors inherent to people, and extrinsic, which arises from elements external to the person.The first element that should be consider in the process of designing a Gamification experience is to understand the strong similarity with the didactic planning of activities or specific slogans for different educational proposals or projects that an educator can build. These elements, among others (narrative, dynamics, mechanics, elements, objectives), appear in an articulated way in thedesign of a Gamification experience. |

La Gamificación es un proceso donde entran en juego distintas mecánicas y técnicas propias de la identidad o esencia del diseño de juegos, que tiene como objetivo motivar a los participantes a conseguir propósitos específicos. Hay aspectos que no hacen a una propuesta de Gamificación, en vistas a diseñar una experiencia educativa y formativa. La Gamificación no implica precisamente la creación de un juego, no es un serious game, no es teoría de juegos y tampoco es diseñar fundamentalmente un sistema de recompensas o programas de fidelización. El juego en educación interpela al educador a problematizar las estrategias de enseñanza, buscando lograr la participación activa de los demás. Entendiendo que lo lúdico no pone el acento en el aprendizaje de contenidos, sino en la promoción de un entorno que estimule a cada estudiante en la construcción de un conocimiento propio cargado de significados personales.La motivación, en relación a las propuestas de Gamificación, nunca debe minimizarse simplemente a recompensas materiales por comportamientos, teniendo en cuenta que esto va conduciendo a la frustración continua por no conseguirlas. Dicha motivación puede identificarse desde dos tipos: intrínseca, que surge de factores propios de las personas, y extrínseca, que nace por elementos externos a la persona.El primer elemento que deben considerar en el proceso de diseño de una experiencia de Gamificación, es entender la fuerte similitud con la planificación didáctica de actividades o consignas específicas para diferentes propuestas o proyectos educativos que puede construir un educador.
