This site is presented as a town with strategic-defensive or pseudo-pukara characteristics, with a unilinear layout and semi-urban complexity. It is located in the Yocavil Valley, in the Province of Tucumán. Temporarily corresponds to the Period of Regional Developments of the Argentine Northwest (S X to XV A.D.). The functional variability of the various enclosures located in the settlement in relation to the ceramic assemblies present in them is considered. The comparison between these allows to establish different contexts and scales of processing, storage and consumption of food. Este artículo analiza la utilización del espacio en el sitio “Los Cardones”. Este yacimiento se presenta como un poblado con características estratégico-defensivas o pseudo-pukara, con un trazado unilineal y una complejidad semi-urbana. Está ubicado en el valle de Yocavil, en la Provincia de Tucumán. Temporalmente corresponde al Período de Desarrollos Regionales del Noroeste Argentino (S X al XV d.C.). Se considera la variabilidad funcional de los diversos recintos emplazados en el asentamiento en relación a los conjuntos cerámicos presentes en los mismos. La comparación entre éstos permite establecer diferentes contextos y escalas de procesamiento, almacenaje y consumo de alimentos. Centro de Estudios Históricos.
