The geographical context corresponds to Cuba at the country level, and the University of Cienfuegos, as a territory at the local scale. The time category is recognized as “COVID - 19 pandemic time”, in the year 2020 and 2021. Outreach practices are analyzed from our personal experience as teachers, combined with the literature review of information published in different national and local newspapers that appear on social networks. The lessons learned reveal that university life has become more intense than ever. Outreach practices involve practically everyone, with the participation and contribution of each one from their area of expertise according to their professional profile. En el presente artículo se describen prácticas extensionistas que evidencian transformaciones en la vida universitaria durante el tiempo de pandemia por COVID – 19 al realizar sus tareas de impacto. El contexto geográfico se corresponde con Cuba a nivel de país, y a la Universidad de Cienfuegos, como territorio a escala local.  La categoría tiempo se reconoce como “tiempo de pandemia por COVID – 19”, en los años 2020 y lo que va del 2021.   Las prácticas extensionistas son analizadas desde la vivencia personal como docentes, combinadas con la revisión bibliográfica de información publicada en diferentes periódicos, nacionales y provinciales que aparecen en las redes sociales.  Las lecciones aprendidas dejan percibir que la vida universitaria se hizo más intensa que nunca.
