The recent death of the mother is the starting point of these three films that are set in coastal towns or cities of Buenos Aires during the off season. This essay examines the relationship between grief and space by exploring how the return to a liminal space (the coast) and materiality of its landscape create a cinematic form and narrative that represents the dislocation of the self when it faces the absence left by death. El presente artículo propone pensar el duelo desde una perspectiva espacial a partir del análisis de Pinamar (2016) de Federico Godfrid, Las olas de Natalia Dagatti (2017) y Los miembros de la familia (2019) de Mateo Bendesky. La reciente muerte de la madre es el motor narrativo de estas tres películas que transcurren en pueblos o ciudades de la costa atlántica de Buenos Aires durante la temporada baja. Este ensayo indaga la relación entre duelo y espacio y cómo el retorno a un lugar transitorio y la materialidad del paisaje se presentan como formas cinematográficas y narrativas de representar la dislocación del yo ante una ausencia.
