Considering the insufficient coverage of the local theater as an object of study, the lack of conditions for safeguarding and archiving theatrical memories and the conditions of possibility to enter the field from different ways, I will take as a corpus the book Mutis por Foro by Virginia Ventura (2022). For this, I will describe some problems linked to the local and regional historiography of the city of Villa María with the objective of producing a contextualization of the geo-imaginary nodes of the city by those who produce theater, in analytical contrast to Villa María as a city-region projected from state institutions.     En el siguiente artículo realizaré un acercamiento a la historia del teatro villamariense reciente. Considerando el insuficiente recorrido sobre el teatro local como objeto de estudio, la falta de condiciones de resguardo y archivo de las memorias teatrales y las condiciones de posibilidad para ingresar al campo desde distintas vías, tomaré como corpus el libro Mutis por Foro de Virginia Ventura (2022). Para esto, describiré algunos problemas vinculados con la historiografía local y regional de la ciudad de Villa María con el objetivo de producir una contextualización de los nodos geo-imaginarios de la ciudad por parte de quienes producen teatro, en contraposición analítica a Villa María como una ciudad-región proyectada desde las instituciones estatales.           Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
