Specifically, it seeks to approach the analysis of the social mobility of these sectors from the study of the family trajectories of certain members of the artisan collective. Trajectories that show that it is possible to register many of them in that continuum of intermediate situations that operated between the two social extremes of the time, such as the encomendera elite, on the one hand, and the entrusted indians and slaves, on the other. Este trabajo trata sobre los sectores medios urbanos en la sociedad cordobesa en la primera mitad del siglo XVII. En concreto, busca aproximarse al análisis de la movilidad social de dichos sectores a partir del estudio de las trayectorias familiares de ciertos miembros del colectivo artesano. Trayectorias que muestran que es posible inscribir a muchos de ellos en ese continuun de situaciones intermedias que operaba entre los dos extremos sociales de la época como eran la elite encomendera, por una parte, y los indios encomendados y esclavos, por la otra.
