| Sumario: | The article analyzes argumentative topics and ethos of the actors involved in the open hearing held in 2016 for the sanction of the Forest Law (Buenos Aires). Within the framework of a political controversy, the argumentative strategies of proponents in the verbal dispute for its sanction are examined. Three recurring argumentative topics are identified (consensualist approach, environmental conservation, and discourses of sustainable development), which are linked to three modalities of self-presentation of the actors (democratic ethos, environmental responsibility, and territorial roots). |
