Through a literature review and anethnographic case study, it addresses different themes such as agriculturalmodernisation, uncertainty, ideas of progress, the formation of enclaves, credit andpolitical organisation. It concludes by highlighting the value of these debates forunderstanding current agricultural dynamics. El artículo relee etnografías rurales argentinas para recuperar claves analíticas útiles al estudio del cinturón flori-hortícola platense. Mediante revisión bibliográfica y un caso etnográfico, aborda distintos ejes como la modernización agrícola, la incertidumbre, las ideas de progreso, la conformación de enclaves, el crédito y la organización política. Concluye resaltando el valor de estos debates para entender dinámicas agrarias actuales. Cet article revisite les ethnographies rurales argentines afin de récupérer des clés analytiques utiles à l'étude de la ceinture flori-horticole de La Plata. À travers une revue bibliographique et un cas ethnographique, il aborde différents axes tels que la modernisation agricole, l'incertitude, les idées de progrès, la formation d'enclaves, le crédit et l'organisation politique.
