As a novelty, this Thesis contributes to uphold that the Theory of the Four Discourses opens a possible route to produce a clinical clearly distinguished from psy-chiatry. Pasado ya más de un siglo de que el psicoanálisis nos fuese legado por Freud, la pregunta por el diagnóstico y la especificidad de su praxis permanece abierta. Resabios de la clínica médico-psiquiátrica aún hoy se infiltran en su campo, interpelándonos. ¿Es posible evitar caer en una psiquiatrización del psicoanálisis? La novedad que esta tesis aporta es la de sostener que la teoría de los cuatro discursos abre un cauce posible en la tarea de producir una clínica claramente diferenciada de la psiquiatría.
