The seventies issue is a good starting point to follow these mutations. Con Punctum (1996) la discusión sobre los setenta adquiere un grado de agudeza difícil de encontrar en otros textos actuales. Ahí ya están los temas y planteos compositivos característicos de la escritura de Martín Gambarotta, que en libros posteriores adquirirán expresiones cada vez más peculiares. Tanto la experiencia de los años setenta como los debates en torno a ella son un buen punto de partida para seguir esas mutaciones.
