The main methods used were observation to lessons, interview, evaluation by expert criterion and socialization workshop. The proposal suggests content, actions, procedures, teaching aids, ways of organization and evaluation that might be used during teaching- learning process. In it are integrated three dimensions: cognitive, emotional and behaviour during three stages; Organization and condition creation, Projection towards the methodology construction, Socialization and Evaluation of the treatment of patriotic traditions. In elaboration it was outstanding the roll of teachers and those who has to do with the direction of the process in the elementary school, selected for this work, and it is evident a change in the students behaviour. Con el propósito de ofrecer una metodología para darle tratamiento a las tradiciones patrióticas desde el contenido histórico, el artículo revela como antecedentes la manifestación de modos de actuación de los educandos del segundo ciclo, de la escuela primaria 21 de octubre, del municipio Bayamo, Cuba; que se diferencian de las pretensiones educacionales de formar al educando en el arraigo a las tradiciones patrias. Los principales métodos utilizados fueron la entrevista, observación de clases, criterios de expertos y talleres de socialización. La propuesta contiene sugerencias de contenidos, acciones, procedimientos, medios, formas de organización y formas de evaluación a emplear durante este proceso. En ella se integran tres dimensiones: cognitiva, afectiva y conductual durante cuatro etapas; Organización y creación de las condiciones, Proyección hacia la construcción metodológica, Socialización y Evaluación del tratamiento a las tradiciones patrióticas. En su elaboración fue destacado el papel de los maestros y directivos de la escuela primaria seleccionada y se evidencia un cambio favorable en los modos de actuación de los educandos.
