For the development of the research process, a methodology framed onto-epistemically in the positivist paradigm was adopted, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. What was operationalized through a survey, through an instrument that consisted of five dimensions and was subjected to content validation by the judgment of ten experts; obtaining high reliability evidenced by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.898. From the application of the instrument, the sample was 50 teachers, where the main results were that the majority have more than 10 years of experience in education. 98% present high innovative skills and competencies, which is evidenced by an average of 148.34 ± 9.484 points, demonstrating a low dispersion of the data. Therefore, it is concluded that the teachers under study show an outstanding profile in the development of innovative skills in all the dimensions evaluated.

El objetivo del presente artículo, se centró en analizar, conocer e identificar las habilidades y competencias innovadoras de los docentes de educación básica en el contexto ecuatoriano, siendo estas un elemento fundamental para el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Para el desarrollo del proceso investigativo se adoptó una metodología enmarcada onto-epistémicamente en el paradigma positivista, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal. Lo que se operacionalizó a través de una encuesta, por medio de un instrumento que constó de cinco dimensiones y fue sometido a la validación de contenido por el juicio de diez expertos; obteniendo una confiabilidad alta evidenciada por un coeficiente alfa de Cronbach de 0,898. De la aplicación del instrumento, la muestra fue a 50 docentes, donde se encontró como principales resultados que la mayoría tienen más de 10 años de experiencia en educación. El 98% presenta alta habilidades y competencias innovadoras, lo que se evidencia con una media de 148,34 ± 9,484 puntos demostrando una dispersión baja de los datos. Por lo que, se concluye que, los docentes objeto de estudio muestran un perfil destacado en el desarrollo de habilidades innovadoras en todas las dimensiones evaluadas.   O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar, compreender e identificar as habilidades e competências inovadoras dos professores de educação básica no contexto equatoriano, pois elas são um elemento fundamental no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos. Para o desenvolvimento do processo de pesquisa, foi adotada uma metodologia enquadrada epistemicamente no paradigma positivista, com uma abordagem quantitativa e um desenho não experimental transversal. Isso foi operacionalizado por meio de uma pesquisa, por meio de um instrumento que consistia em cinco dimensões e foi submetido à validação de conteúdo pelo julgamento de dez especialistas, obtendo uma alta confiabilidade evidenciada por um coeficiente alfa de Cronbach de 0,898. A partir da aplicação do instrumento, a amostra foi composta por 50 professores, e os principais resultados foram que a maioria deles tem mais de 10 anos de experiência em educação. 98% têm altas habilidades e competências inovadoras, o que é evidenciado por uma média de 148,34 ± 9,484 pontos, demonstrando uma baixa dispersão dos dados.
