Then, taking the visit as a episcopal practice of spatiality, four processes are deployed to identify some of the effects of the action of the bishop’s jurisdictional power over the territory and its relationship with other social actors in the diocesan space. El presente artículo propone un análisis de la construcción espacial de la diócesis de Buenos Aires a través de la visita episcopal del obispo Benito Lué y Riega realizada entre 1803 y 1805. Se lleva adelante una breve caracterización del gobierno diocesano y luego tomando a la visita como una practica episcopal de espacialidad, se despliegan cuatro procesos para identificar algunos de los efectos de la acción del poder jurisdiccional del obispo sobre el territorio y su relación con otros actores sociales del espacio diocesano. Este artigo propõe uma análise da construção espacial da diocese de Buenos Aires através da visita episcopal do Bispo Benito Lué y Riega realizada entre 1803 e 1805. É realizada uma breve caracterização do governo diocesano e em seguida tomando a visita como episcopal. desdobram-se quatro processos para identificar alguns dos efeitos da ação do poder jurisdicional do bispo sobre o território e a sua relação com outros atores sociais do espaço diocesano.
