description The aim of this work is to assess aspects that influence the application of certain methods in the process of teaching and learning the violin. For this, we propose a bibliographic examination as a well as a comparative analysis of three methods for beginners currently used: Rolland method, Suzuki method, and Colourstrings method. We try to validate this process by identifying and comparing aspects regarding the technique and principles of each one, taking into account the similarities they share and the aspects in which they differ in their approaches to early stages of violin learning. Those methods offer original alternatives and resources that, when properly combined, can be adapted by teachers and added to current methodology.
