description The studies of the Andean world view refer us to a sociocultural complex where the Quechuan and Western world views melt and cohabit. The Peruvian researcher Carlos Huamán López tracks the meaning of myths, symbols and metaphors of the Andean world view in the "wayno" -characteristic musical style of the Andean Ayacucho area- taking into account the material produced in that Department of the Southern Andes of Perú, from the nineteen seventies forward, although some other waynos written in previous years are taken into consideration as well.
