Nowadays, the work of Le Clezio confi rms the pursuit of a complete world aroused by poetry, the only possible way of translating the sensory ecstasy into words: this is what his essays show as much as his fi ctional work, from L’extase matérielle and L’Inconnu sur la terre to Mondo et autres histoires, Désert, La Quarantaine and Coeur brûle et autres romances, corpus selected to the discussion of the subject.
