I22-R128-article-37992024-07-31T15:44:57Z ¿Quiénes son los estudiantes de Historia? Un estudio de caso Ferreyra, Susana Educación Estudiantes de historia Profesión Education History students Profession Every year, almost three hundred students try to be admitted to study History at the College of Philosophy and Humanities, at the National University of Cordoba. They come from diverse high schools where they studied different orientations; they come from our state, and from neighbor states. Among them, probably, there are some who are more interested in obtaining the degree to become high school and third level teachers; and some are more interested in getting the degree to become researchers. Nonetheless, most likely the majority will try to do both careers at the same time. Who are these students? Where are they from? What is their background? How many of them really graduate to become teachers, and how many graduate to become researchers? What did they think about their career, and about their practice before they entered the University? Did they wanted to become teachers, researchers, or both? How do they reinterpret their background once at the School of History? What ideas, expectations, and perceptions do they have about their future activity? Our research is about how these students construct these representations about the career, and when, during their school experience, they make key options about their profession if these options really exist.
