In this sense, there is a change from the medical model of disability to the social and rights model. human rights, rights that State institutions must guarantee through appropriate public policies, setting aside biases, myths, and prejudices that unfortunately remain about disability and, above all, about people to this day; another important point is citizen participation, which implies, first of all, the recognition that we are subjects of rights and then we must also actively commit ourselves to drafting, modifying or eliminating laws that violate those rights regulations that ensure the real exercise of rights El presente texto aborda la cuestión del ejercicio igualitario de los derechos, considerando el rol de la Convención Internacional sobre los derechos de las personas con discapacidad y la Ley 26.378.
