Jurisdictions that have recently developed new curricular designs in which innovations and epistemological and methodological updates can be highlighted to introduce social problems, as a criterion for organizing school contents, from an interdisciplinary perspective. In this framework, based on the information obtained from a questionnaire, it is described, compared and analyzed the curricular designs of both provinces in relation to social problems in the area of social and human sciences to establish relationships between theoretical perspectives and didactic approaches that guide the practices of teachers in the treatment of social problems La investigación que se lleva a cabo, desde un enfoque cualitativo, se inscribe en un proceso de interpretación crítica de las prácticas de enseñanza y de aprendizaje del conocimiento social en la escuela secundaria de dos provincias de la Norpatagonia Argentina: Neuquén y Río Negro. Jurisdicciones que recientemente han elaborado nuevos diseños curriculares en los que se puede evidenciar innovaciones y actualizaciones epistemológicas y metodológicas para introducir los problemas sociales, como criterio de organización de los contenidos escolares, desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar. En este marco, a partir de la información obtenida de un cuestionario se describen, comparan y analizan los diseños curriculares de ambas provincias con relación a los problemas sociales en el área de las ciencias sociales y humanas para establecer relaciones entre las perspectivas teóricas y los enfoques didácticos que orientan las prácticas del profesorado en el tratamiento de los problemas sociales.
