Its magazine Realidad Económica (RE) born at the beginning of the seventies, still valid, was both the instrument and the propitious space for the dissemination of the main debates and pronouncements of a political nature in various areas, but mainly the economy and national economic policy. The paper addresses the discussions around the economy and economic policy in its early years, capturing the voice and vision displayed after the anonymous reports of IADE in its official magazine RE. Considering that there was a constant proliferation of news reports and sectoral analyzes on the economy under the signature of IADE in all its issues, the study centered around its economic vision constitutes the main commitment to reveal the ideas, controversies and other issues that represented the institution in the previous critical years and development of the Third Peronism (1970-1973). Methodologically, the numbers produced between 1970-1976 were surveyed, paying special attention to the situation reports, political pronouncements and sectoral economic analyzes under the anonymous authorship of IADE, although including the studies that accompanied them in the RE pages. Among the main results, it was found that the IADE-RE showed significant concern about problems involving the economy such as the possibilities of sectoral development, the need to promote local firms over foreign ones, the excessive oligopolization of the sector industry, the high concentration of land in agricultural holdings, the need to protect small and medium-sized companies and articulate these slogans with an economic policy that prioritizes the increase in real wages, the internal market, the fluidity of local liquidity and the control of the external sector. In addition to building and articulating the economic vision of IADE, it is argued that all these debates that contributed to the local situation were also supported by fervent support for a national development project that materialized, starting in 1973, in the so-called Plan Triennial with the arrival of Peronism. In this way, the IADE fiercely defended said project, which understood that it had to undertake a structural transformation that would put an end to the foreignizing and oligopolistic model crystallized since the sixties, even with the hope that it would be reissued at the most critical moment of the Peronist government during the second half of 1975.

El Instituto Argentino para el Desarrollo Económico es una institución significativa y pionera en la defensa del desarrollo nacional en sus diversas áreas -economía, tecnología, industria, finanzas, etc.-. Desde sus inicios en los sesenta, aglutinó a un conjunto de respetados cientistas sociales competentes en diversas áreas en torno a un proyecto económico de carácter nacional, de desarrollo industrialista y defensor de la pequeña y la mediana industria local. Su revista Realidad Económica (RE) nacida a principios de los setenta, todavía vigente, fue tanto el instrumento como el espacio propicio para la difusión de los principales debates y pronunciamientos de carácter político en diversas áreas, pero principalmente la economía y la política económica nacional. En el trabajo se abordan las discusiones en estas últimas dimensiones desde sus primeros años captando la voz y la visión desplegada tras los informes anónimos del IADE en RE. Considerando que proliferaron de notas de coyuntura y análisis sectoriales en torno a la economía bajo la firma del IADE en todos sus números, el estudio de su visión económica constituye la principal apuesta para develar las ideas y controversias que fomentó la institución en los años críticos previos y de desarrollo del Tercer Peronismo (1970-1973). Metodológicamente, se relevaron los números producidos entre 1970-1976 prestando especial atención a los informes de coyuntura, pronunciamientos políticos y análisis económicos sectoriales bajo la autoría anónima del IADE, aunque incluyendo los estudios que los acompañaron en las páginas de RE. Entre los principales resultados, se encontró que el IADE-RE mostró una preocupación importante en torno a problemas que involucraban a la economía como a las posibilidades de desarrollo sectorial, la necesidad de impulsar a firmas locales frente a las extranjeras, la excesiva oligopolización del sector industrial, la alta concentración de la tierra en las explotaciones agropecuarias, la necesidad de proteger a las pequeñas y medianas empresas y articular estas consignas con una política económica que priorizara el aumento del salario real, el mercado interno, la fluidez de liquidez local y el control del sector externo. Además de construir y articular la visión económica del IADE, se sostiene que todos estos debates que aportaban a la coyuntura local también se encontraban encolumnados por un apoyo ferviente a un proyecto de desarrollo nacional que se materializaba, a partir de 1973, en el llamado Plan Trienal con la llegada del peronismo. De esta manera, el IADE defendió de forma férrea dicho proyecto, el cual entendía que debía emprender una transformación estructural que terminara con el modelo extranjerizante y oligopólico cristalizado desde los sesenta, incluso con esperanzas que se reeditara en el momento más crítico del gobierno peronista durante la segunda mitad de 1975.
