We are interested in questioning a paradox that runs through analyzes of his figure: they consider that the question of his permanence does not need to be formulated, while they continually predict his defeat. We will show that the images that exclusively derive his power from the endorsement of Balestrini or from the resources of Kirchnerism are insufficient. We will return to the analyzes about the PJ as a "disorganized organization" to account for the changes that have occurred over the last decades. To do this, we will resort to a corpus of interviews with leaders, militants and officials, and we will consult the written press. Este artículo apunta a reconstruir el proceso de producción de Fernando Espinoza como “conductor” de La Matanza, atendiendo al “cierre” como mecanismo central a través del cual los actores locales dan cuenta de su permanencia en el gobierno. Nos interesa interrogar una paradoja que surca los análisis sobre su figura: consideran que la pregunta por su permanencia no requiere formularse, a la vez que vaticinan continuamente su derrota. Mostraremos que las imágenes que derivan exclusivamente su poder del aval de Balestrini o de los recursos del kirchnerismo resultan insuficientes. Retomaremos los análisis en torno del PJ como “organización desorganizada” para dar cuenta de los cambios ocurridos a lo largo de las últimas décadas. Para ello, recurriremos a un corpus de entrevistas a dirigentes, militantes y funcionarios/as, y consultaremos la prensa escrita.
