Based on the notion of «linguistic ideologies», the analysis allows us to observe how linguistic issues that interested the press and the thought of the moment are reformulated, incorporating social concerns linked to the anarchist ideology without abandoning an adherence to scientific thought of the time, and with it, to an eurocentric bias. Este artículo aborda las ideas sobre el lenguaje del escritor anarquista Rafael Barrett (1876–1910), en el contexto de las primeras décadas del siglo XX en Paraguay, a partir del análisis interpretativo de un corpus de tres textos: «La Regla», publicado en la revista Los sucesos en 1906; «Guaraní», publicado en el semanario Rojo y Azul en 1907; y «Esperanto», publicado en el periódico La Razón (1909). A partir de la noción de «ideologías lingüísticas», el análisis permite observar cómo se reformulan los problemas lingüísticos que interesaban a la prensa y el pensamiento del momento, incorporando preocupaciones sociales vinculadas al ideario anarquista sin abandonar una adscripción al pensamiento científico de la época, y con él, a un sesgo eurocéntrico.
