It takes place in a first grade classroom in the context of the return to face-to-face teaching, after a year of virtual work due to the preventive and compulsory isolation caused by the pandemic. The teacher narrates a scene that is to be expected within the literacy proposals that take place in this grade, but with the particularity of an unexpected response from a pupil. In the story, various issues are brought to light that are relevant to literacy work: the exchange between teacher and pupil, the provision of a literate culture and writing as a tool for communication. At the same time, this story encourages the reader to think about what elements are offered in the school that enable the affective bond between those who live there. El texto trata sobre un relato de experiencia de una maestra de grado en una escuela pública de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. El mismo acontece en un aula de primer grado en el marco de la vuelta a la presencialidad, luego de un año de trabajo virtual debido al aislamiento preventivo y obligatorio a causa de la pandemia. La maestra narra una escena esperable dentro de las propuestas de alfabetización que se dan en este grado, pero con la particularidad de una respuesta inesperada de una alumna. Allí, se evidencian diversas cuestiones que atañen al trabajo con la lectoescritura: el intercambio entre el docente y el alumno, el ofrecimiento de una cultura letrada y la escritura como herramienta de comunicación.
