Sumario:De theologicis complementis has not had the same fortune as other works by Cusanus. However, it constitutes a testimony of the propaedeutic function that his mathematics has in relation to his speculative writings, especially the theological ones. Nicholas takes there as the starting point the methods of solving the quadrature of the circle exposed in De mathematicis complementis and turns to a proposal that advances the developments of De visione Dei. In this sense, the theological complements offer a paradigmatic example of the symbolic use of mathematics in Cusanus’ metaphysics.
