We will analyze what the artists' adaptation process to this new cultural ecosystem has been like, taking as a case study the production and distribution strategies of the tropical bass electronic music scene in Lima city. Chicha music is the foundation of this style and genre, which, in addition to being an interesting aesthetic phenomenon, also has great social importance: it designates forms of socialization of a large sector of the Peruvian population, and is the result of migrations from rural areas to the capital city, the informal economy, and the political crisis. Este artículo analiza los efectos disruptivos de la tecnología digital en el campo de la industria musical. Abordaremos la conformación del modelo Music 2.0, estudiado por George Yúdice, y la teoría de la larga cola de Chris Anderson. Analizaremos cómo ha sido el proceso de adaptación de los artistas a este nuevo ecosistema cultural, tomando como estudio de caso las estrategias de producción y distribución de la escena de la música electrónica tropical bass en la ciudad de Lima. Este género tiene como una de sus matrices la música chicha, que además de ser  un interesante fenómeno estético, tiene a su vez una gran importancia social: designa formas de socialización de un amplio sector de la población peruana y ha sido producto de los procesos migratorios de las zonas rurales a la ciudad capital, la economía informal y la crisis política.   Este artigo analisa os efeitos disruptivos da tecnologia digital no campo da indústria musical. Estudaremos a conformação do modelo Music 2.0, estudado por George Yúdice, e a teoria da long tail e Chris Anderson. Analisaremos como tem sido o processo de adaptação dos artistas a esse novo ecossistema cultural, tomando como estudo de caso as estratégias de produção e distribuição da cena tropical bass eletrônico na cidade de Lima.
