I also suggest that there is a positive social construction that legitimises the model and helps to make its destructive effects invisible, based on the combination of values that operate in the different dimensions of economic productivity, consumption and class distinction, national identity and regional affiliation. En este artículo presento el problema del avance del modelo Vino & Turismo en los Valles Calchaquíes, desde Salta hacia el sur, haciendo foco en su carácter de doble extractivismo y en el riesgo ambiental y social que significa para la población local; en especial para el territorio de la Comunidad India Quilmes, ubicada en el sector tucumano de los Valles. Asimismo, sugiero que existe una construcción social positiva que legitima al modelo y colabora con invisibilizar sus efectos destructivos, a partir de la combinación de valores que operan en las distintas dimensiones de productividad económica, consumo y distinción de clase, identidad nacional y adscripción regional.   Neste artigo apresento o problema do avanço do modelo do Vinho & Turismo nos Vales Calchaquíes, de Salta ao sul, focalizando seu duplo extrativismo e o risco ambiental e social que ele representa para a população local, especialmente para o território da Comunidade Indígena Quilmes, localizada no setor Tucumano dos Vales.
