The present work aims to present the results obtained from the research carried out to know the existence or not of the phenomenon of the Crystal Roof in the career of the graduate women of the National Polytechnic School (EPN). In order to reach the objective of the research, a research of a mixed nature was designed, with an exploratory scope divided into two stages; the first of quantitative nature where a survey was applied to determine the existence of the phenomenon sought. This stage consented to the application and analysis of 404 surveys to graduates of the different careers of the object of study. Once in that stage the phenomenon was identified, the second stage had a qualitative approach where in-depth interviews were conducted with graduates linked to the EPN in order to explore the possible causes of the findings of the first phase. The study made it possible to determine that, thanks to the public policies implemented by the Ecuadorian government in the last decade, female enrollment and women's labor participation has increased. However, the participation of polytechnic women in high hierarchical levels in the companies where they work is low, which is why it was possible to determine the presence of the Glass Ceiling phenomenon in the careers of the graduates of the EPN. Additionally, it was observed that the higher the hierarchical level, the greater the gap between wages between men and women where the latter perceive lower remunerative values. |

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados obtenidos de la investigación realizada para conocer la existencia o no del fenómeno del Techo de Cristal en la carrera en las mujeres graduadas de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN). Para poder alcanzar el objetivo de la investigación se diseñó una pesquisa de naturaleza mixta, con un alcance exploratorio dividida en dos etapas; la primera de índole cuantitativa donde se aplicó una encuesta para determinar la existencia del fenómeno buscado. Esta etapa consintió en la aplicación y análisis de 404 encuestas a graduados de las diferentes carreras del objeto de estudio. Una vez que en esa etapa se identificó el fenómeno, la segunda etapa tuvo un enfoque cualitativo donde se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad a graduados vinculados a la EPN, con el fin de explorar las posibles causas de los hallazgos de la primera fase.El estudio permitió determinar que, gracias a las políticas públicas implantadas por el gobierno ecuatoriano en la última década, la matrícula femenina y la participación laboral de las mujeres han aumentado. Sin embargo, la participación de las mujeres politécnicas en niveles jerárquicos altos en las empresas donde trabajan es baja, motivo por el cual se pudo determinar la presencia del fenómeno de Techo de Cristal en las carreras de las graduadas de la EPN.
