Thepurpose of this was to open a space for dialogue and exchange in the San Agustín IIneighborhood of the aforementioned city, where various institutional referents wereconvened to learn about their problems and offer training on gender and violencethrough a dynamic where all voices could be heard. Collective reading and thedeconstruction of internalized concepts favored the opening to an emancipatory dialogue, a kickstart for the construction of a new citizenship. Finally, it was intendedto begin the assembly of an inter-institutional network to address said issues and thedelivery of a resourcer with information to continue the work begun. This articleaims to bring together communication as a socio-political practice and gender as aconstruction of citizenship situated in a socio-historical and cultural context from acritical and reflective perspective. El siguiente artículo parte de las experiencias llevadas adelante a través del Proyectode Extensión Universitaria “Construyendo ciudadanía desde la perspectiva de género”, dela Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, enconjunción con la Asociación Civil “Generar” de la ciudad de Santa Fe. El propósito delmismo consistió en abrir un espacio de diálogo e intercambio en el barrio San AgustínII de dicha ciudad, donde se convocó a diversos/as referentes institucionales paraconocer sus problemáticas y ofrecer una capacitación en materia de género y violencias,a través de una dinámica que permitiera que todas las voces fueran escuchadas. Lalectura colectiva y la desnaturalización de sentidos coagulados favorecieron la aperturaa un diálogo emancipador, puntapié para la construcción de una nueva ciudadanía.Finalmente, se pretendió iniciar el armado de una red interinstitucional para el abordajede dichas temáticas, y la entrega de un recursero con información para continuar eltrabajo comenzado.
