This project aims to automate the seed development process to provide the right conditions for proper growth and later transplanting when it reaches the seedling stage, as well as to detect growth problems in the early stage. We tested the developed prototype with five fast-germinating crops: onion, lettuce, cilantro, chili, and bean seeds. We compared the performance of sprouts germinated in the proposed system with others germinated outside the device under different conditions. The irrigation system includes a basic control that, based on a target humidity threshold, turns on the water pump to modify the current conditions to reach the target humidity. El presente trabajo describe el diseño de circuitos electronicos para un sistema de riego de un germinador automático, asi como el monitoreo de los brotes mediante una cámara y algoritmos de visión artificial. El propósito de este proyecto es poder automatizar el proceso de desarrollo de la semilla, para poder brindarle las condiciones adecuadas para un correcto crecimiento y posteriormente su transplante cuando llegue a la etapa de plántula, ademas de detectar problemas de crecimiento en la fase temprana. El prototipo desarrollado fue probado con cinco cultivos de rápida germinación: semillas de ebolla, lechuga, cilantro, chile y frijol. Se comparó el desempeño de los brotes germinados en el sistema propuesto con otros germinados fuera del dispositivo bajo diferentes condiciones.
