During the seminars Momigliano analyze the production and inheritance of those individuals in their opinion best reflect the social studies of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, most of them belonging to generations positivist and romantic nineteenth-century German who had formed the core of his intellectual development during his years in Torino. A fin de realizar unas breves consideraciones sobre el problema del método en Momigliano, abordaremos una porción poco frecuentada de su bastísima producción histórico-historiográfica: sus contribuciones a los seminarios de historia de la historiografía celebrados en la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa desde 1972 hasta su muerte, ocurrida en 1987.
