It addresses issues such as the professional development of its members, changes in the membership, user training activities, ways of conducting searches, economic problems, strengths and limitations of the service. Finally, some aspects of the foregoing that may be useful at present are reviewed. El presente artículo se dedica al desarrollo, actividades y legado del grupo de trabajo para el proyecto Recuperación de información en bases de datos distantes a través de terminal, que funcionó en el CAICYT (Centro Argentino de Información Científica y Tecnológica) entre 1981 y 1987.
