We selected two technical secondary schools, which educational offer can be qualified as alternative (that is, different from traditional technical schools). We analyzed the devices that explicitly trained for production in the world of work, its teachers, students and graduates. It was found that the subjective incidence they had on their graduates was an agency in their lives, and also proposed limits. We believe that in a context of questioning the educational system and the secondary school in particular, it can be a contribution to the debate to know, from research results, educational experiences that generate subjective impacts, and locate the relationship between secondary school and the world of work as a prominent aspect to be taken into account in compulsory general education. Este artículo se propone revalorizar, a partir de los resultados de una investigación, algunos dispositivos de formación para el trabajo que se implementan en las escuelas secundarias técnicas, como propuestas formativas que inciden en quienes transitan por ellos, aportando no solo saberes disciplinares o técnicos, sino también generando sentido a la escuela secundaria general y a la construcción subjetiva de quienes transitan por ellas. Se seleccionaron dos instituciones educativas con propuestas pedagógicas alternativas —es decir, que han generado iniciativas diferentes a las escuelas técnicas tradicionales/históricas— y se analizaron los dispositivos que sostienen propuestas pedagógicas que explícitamente plantean una formación para la producción en el mundo del trabajo. Se encontró que tienen una incidencia subjetiva en sus egresadxs, que se plantea como agencia en sus vidas, a la vez que propone algunos límites.
