In fact, we confirmed these previous ideas during the showing of “Unknown Ozu” (August 1-10th, 2008, BuenosAires) Ozu ha sido considerado por sus compatriotas y extranjeros como el más "japonés" del cine nipón. Burch observó que el cine japonés es continuación directa de una extensa tradición teatral: como el kabuki hanamichi, el haiku y la "palabra almohada". Además, el Zen y el teatro Noh son componentes de su filmografía.
