description In the knowledge of historians there were novelties on opening of historic file of the Vatican Congregation in 1998. Therefore it was possible to shed light not only on the work of negative character, of repression and censorship, but also on the normative character, doctrinal development and intervention in the political and cultural issues of the modern world in the body of Catholic Christianity. Thus the Roman Holy Office played an important role in the part of the world subject to the iberican inquisitions, in particular the Spanish. When were the first signs of this intervention of Rome in the american world religious government? On this aspect I would like to deal shortly in this space.
