In addition, it seeks to analyze and compare the similarities and differences between legal rulings dedicated to guarantee intellectual property provisions as found in the Collection of Laws of the Indies, and some of the contemporary legal system, either by influences or by similarities in development. El objetivo principal de este artículo es exponer los orígenes de la legislación autoral mexicana en sus tres dimensiones jurídicas: la peninsular, la indiana y la criolla. Además, se busca analizar y comparar las coincidencias y discrepancias entre las resoluciones legales abocadas a la garantía del derecho de autor halladas en disposiciones como la Recopilación de Leyes de Indias y otras coetáneas, y algunas del régimen jurídico contemporáneo, ya sea por influencias o por similitudes en el desarrollo.
