Sumario:This article’s aim is to explore the role of gender categorization in the diverse strategies of discipline and subjectivation which were sought to reproduce from the State Terrorism implemented during the last civilian-military-ecclesiastical dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983) and its persistence in the post-dictatorship era. To that extent, the persistence of these perspectives within the listening frames in which the ex-detained-disappeared subjects testified is thoroughly analyzed, specifically those who were victims of sexual violence in the clandestine detention centers, accounting the difficulties faced in their enunciation within the legal system in the post-dictatorship era and beyond. Hence, and considering the aforementioned constructions of subjectivation and discipline, this article purports to demonstrate the curbs and the potentiality of testification as a political tool to resignify experiences in the processes of the construction of a collective memory of the genocide.
