This approach aims to problematize the hegemonic model of masculinity that reaffirms male domination, as promoted by neoconservative sectors. In other words, it enables the possibility of conceptualizing and embodying masculinities in alternative ways. The analysis is situated within the national context of antifeminist backlash and the reaffirmation of neoconservative discourses and practices by various right-wing actors, which reinforce the perceived need to restore a masculinity eroded by the advancement of feminist policies. The article is structured as follows: first, it presents a brief historical overview and assessment of the transformations in the legal framework, educational proposals, pedagogical perspectives, and implementation strategies of this right during the early years of CSE, marked by disputes with neoconservative sectors. Second, it characterizes the dissemination and reach of neoconservative discourses and the antifeminist backlash up to the present. Finally, it examines the field of masculinity studies and highlights their contributions, which can serve to enrich the pedagogical perspective of CSE. El presente artículo pretende realizar una aproximación al proceso histórico de construcción de la Educación Sexual Integral en la Argentina y a la necesidad de incorporar el enfoque de masculinidades. Este enfoque desea problematizar el modelo de masculinidad hegemónico que reafirma la dominación masculina propuesta por sectores neoconservadores. En otros términos, permite pensar y habitar las masculinidades de otras formas. Atenderemos al contexto nacional de backlash antifeminista y de reafirmación de discursos y prácticas neoconservadoras por parte de diversos sectores de las derechas, que ahondan en la necesidad de la restauración de una masculinidad erosionada por el avance de las políticas feministas. El trabajo se encuentra organizado de la siguiente manera: en primer lugar se realizará una breve historización y balance de las transformaciones del marco normativo, de las propuestas formativas, perspectivas pedagógicas y estrategias de implementación de este derecho en los primeros años de la ESI en disputa con los sectores neoconservadores. Luego se caracterizará la difusión de los discursos neoconservadores y del backlash antifeminista, así como sus alcances hasta la actualidad. En último lugar, se hará un recorrido por los estudios de masculinidades y sus aportes, los cuales pueden enriquecer la perspectiva pedagógica de la ESI. Subsecretaría de publicaciones.
