description In February 2022, the eighth trial for crimes against humanity began in Bahía Blanca and is currently in the final arguments stage. Within the framework of this oral debate, various acts of repression carried out in small towns in the southern province of Buenos Aires were reviewed for the first time. Broadly speaking, these operations consisted of military forces raiding the towns, meticulously searching them, and the subsequent kidnapping of numerous people, many of whom were later transferred to Bahía Blanca and held in clandestine detention facilities. This paper seeks to present some notes on the reconstruction of these operations in the judicial setting, in order to support, in turn, a reflection on the local nature that the judicial process for crimes against humanity has acquired in each territory.
