Umpierrez breaks a tradition of dramaturgical authorship in a meta-artistic line, including his knowledge on social sciences, the market, art curatorship and advertising, with solvency both in the creation and in the conceptualization of art. En este artículo se aborda el pensamiento realizativo de Matías Umpierrez, analizando cómo sus espectáculos son instalaciones visuales-tecnológicas que devienen objeto de exhibición en museos de arte, salas y espacios no convencionales. Este artista multifacético amplía la experiencia teatral con lo performático, el uso de tecnología medial, visual y sonora, atrayendo a un público, no necesariamente de teatro.
