Sumario:This article approaches the performative thought of Matías Umpierrez, analyzing how his shows are visual-technological installations that become objects of exhibition in art museums, halls and non-conventional spaces. This multifaceted artist expands the theatrical experience with performance, the use of media, visual and sound technology, attracting an audience, not necessarily theatrical. Umpierrez breaks a tradition of dramaturgical authorship in a meta-artistic line, including his knowledge on social sciences, the market, art curatorship and advertising, with solvency both in the creation and in the conceptualization of art.
