How knowledge moves, el libro editado por John Krige (Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta) indaga, en los trece capítulos que componen el volumen, la materialidad, la forma encarnada y social en que un tipo de idea (el conocimiento científico) junto a prácticas y tecnologías se movieron entre los Estados Unidos y países asiáticos, africanos y latinoamericanos durante la Guerra Fría. Este período ha adquirido un especial interés historiográfico y comienza a mostrarnos un mundo más flexible, dinámico e interrelacionado que la imagen de “bloques” fijos que se solía tener sobre esa época. Especialmente, el “internacionalismo de la ciencia” permite ver un momento de alta circulación global del conocimiento en un contexto donde las fronteras y los proyectos nacionales se fortalecieron.
